Our Story
I’m a solo developer, and I’ve spent over three years building this VR lacrosse game — coding, modeling, animating, testing, and updating — all while learning as I go.
Lacrosse has been part of my life for decades. I played in high school and college, and now my sons have carried on the tradition — playing at various levels, with me coaching youth teams, running drills at practice, or cheering them on at tournaments.
Professionally, I spent 25 years in enterprise software — building complex systems, managing teams, and solving hard problems. But this project was different: it combined my interest in lacrosse with my background in tech and a desire to create something fun, immersive, and authentic for the lacrosse community.
When we first launched, the game was just a simple shooting challenge — hit the goal while dodging floating bubbles. You could only hold the stick with one hand! A few months later, we added a goalie mode, long-stick mode, and Bravehearts.
In Year 2, the focus shifted to Box lacrosse and 6v6 field play. We even started experimenting with multiplayer — something I hope to return to.
Over the past year, I’ve been focused on 10v10 field play, a new goalie workout, and a dodging mode.
I know pricing is a sensitive topic, and I’ve done my best to make the game accessible — including releasing a free version with several early game modes for those who can’t spare the cost. But after platform fees and taxes, I only take home a small portion of each sale. Let’s be honest — the VR lacrosse market is small, and a regular job in software would pay far more for the time and effort I’ve put in. Still, I’ve chosen to invest my skills and energy here because I believe the lacrosse community deserves something fun in VR — even if the market says otherwise. This isn’t about chasing profits — it’s about building something meaningful for a sport and a community I care about.
If you enjoy the game or appreciate the effort, it really helps when you leave a positive review, share the game with others, or send me constructive feedback via DM/email. Word of mouth matters more than you might think for indie projects like this. Posting video clips of the game to your social media is a helpful way to share too — please tag us so we can help amplify the clip!
Thanks for giving indie devs a shot — and for supporting something built by one person, for a community that deserves it.
